Hi, penthorum is a nice and relatively easy plant. Just trim it really low(leave couple of leaves though) when it is established and replant the top. With regular trimming, adequate light, CO2 and ferts will thrive.

And I have some in my wabi kusa, but it is growing slowly as the only light source is the sun for couple of hours a day...

That is very interesting plant Tom! Can you give us a bit more info about it and to show us a close up...I think I might have this in my tank...:)

I have it, or what I have been told it is, but keep it hydroponically only at the moment and from my experience it is a fast growing plant, that spreads runners everywhere. From what I have read in the net this is not actually Isoetes, but lilaeopsis macloviana...

Unfortunately I couldn't find picture big enough, but in the tank description is written only glosso. But I assume it could be just plain sand and a good photo editing! Who knows!? Regards

Thanks, yes this seems to be the "open the sesame" in this particular scape of Amano. Does the tenelus needs more Fe than usuals to get the reddish color of the new shoots? Regards

Thanks Steve, Yes you can achieve reddish color with more light and iron on plants like ludwigia, rotala and etc, but glosso and eleoharis - that seems to me a bit difficult. If you get a closer look, you will find that just part of the glosso is reddish and that is not on a random bases. Regards

IMO the best place to fix the Bolbitis is where the branches twists. At least I place it like that and it seems fine to me :) Regards Antoni

Just to share with you, that the tank is getting slowly better and IMO the reason is lack of nutrients. I have diluted the Dupla 24 in water to match the recommended dosage and probably this had caused a PH change, which could be enough for all types of Fe (DTPA,EDTA ) to become useless for...
