Does anyone know where I could get something like this in the UK? It needs to be good quality to suspend my LED light ideally to fit my 60cm tank.
I know I could get one fabricated, but just wondered if anyone has seen any already done and in the UK?
That's not a bad price - whats the quality of the glass like? is it really thin? I am tempted to just get a set from HK to get me going and then use them as a spare set when I get the gUSH ones
Yes I am definitely going to get a gush set, but told all UK stock is low and not expected in until the end of August or early September... I want 2 sets of glassware anyway, so thought I'd just get a different brand for now to start me off on the new setup. It's ether a set from co2 art or a...
Can anyone recommend a decent glass 17mm lily pipe set - I really wanted the gUSH ones, but everywhere seems out of stock, are there any other makes worth looking at? not ADA though as they are stupid money! I know you can get them off eBay... but I have heard different reports on those
I'm just wondering if it is possible to get 2 x tiles over the signature tank using the TMC brackets as I have mentioned? I'm thinking of using 2 (if they will fit) and not running them full power, but I will have the option to ramp them up if needed later on. I know Ian has one light running...
Yes you are right Ady... I could reduce the output on the flow lever... like you say, better to have more power than not enough:thumbup:
Not unless you 'Fly Like a G6' :singing: Yes on the lever... not sure if it would hurt the motor though, running it like that all the time?
Hi,
Can anyone advise me where the best place or who has in stock the TMC 1500 tile and matching brackets? the type that clips onto the edge of the aqaurium.
PS, sorry but I actually forgot to say what a great review you did Ian - it's been a long day! I'm sure a few others on here will be investing in one of these now :)
I also invested in one of these about 3weeks back, they are great little units - I did originally adapt my intake pipe to have a skimmer on, which worked ok, but not as good as this one - like Ian says switch off at feeding time and also turn the power/ flow to the minimum when switching back on...
What a great little review - I like how you have shown us all the good and bad points too, really helpful for others looking at these.... Have to say though they seem quite good for the money for what you get
I have connected some Ehiem taps to my filter and I'm after the 15m to connect up for water changes to drain the water out and my nearest drain is 15meters away! I would use hose pipe but it just will not fit onto a Ehiem tap. My normal water change procedure at the moment is 4 x 20 litres into...
I have been looking at possible filters for the P@H 15l nano and have seen this on AE
http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/aquael- ... -2415.html
Is this the sort of thing for a decent job? I plan on keeping some CRS so it needs to be fairly decent.
Any pointers appreciated...
Can anyone recommend a decent nano tank? not to big 20 -30l would be ideal. There seems to be a few on market out the box jobs, but hearing mixed reports on filters/light systems.
Does anyone know where I could purchase some clear plastic pump dispensing bottles from - ideally 500ml ones, similar to the ADA style. I cant seem to find any on eBay :(
Similar to the ones in the below thread would be perfect.

I am thinking about how the best way to attach my Bolbitis to my redmoor wood - I keep reading that superglue gel can be used, my question is this... does my redmoor wood have to be dry along with the rhizome for it to bond?
I would normally use cotton, but i find it very fiddly with big...
Black board paint maybe worth a go then - I did think about Hammerite but thought that might be a little permanent! I want something fairly durable, but if I decide to sell the tank it won't be a nightmare to remove it.
I am thinking about painting the back of my tank black. The main reason is its a corner tank and because it has 3 panels to cover in the black backing I have never really had much success with them sealing at the top of the tank and its starting to look a little unsightly now with parts pealing...
I see, the reason I ask is that last night my co2 tubing popped of the plastic valve I’m using at the moment - I can only think that now I’m running at just under 2 bar the gas pressure has found the weakest point on the line. I was using a ceramic diffuser in the tank at 1.2 bar, with the same...
So moving back a little, can any of you recommend a good one way valve to use and are any of you that are using the up atomizer, do you have jubilee clips on the co2 pipe around the one way valve? Or are no clips need.
I ask as my system is running at just under 2 bar, anything below this and...
Are any of you using jubilee clips on the atomizer to hold the pipes on? or just the standard plastic fitments as they come?
Possible water leaks frighten me, its not the actual water... more the mrs!
Can I ask a question and it maybe a silly one at that - is garden hose ok for these water changes? I am sure that I read somewhere that it should be 'food graded' pipe?
I am seriously looking into this for my 200ltr Discus tank....
