Hello, I am trying to dose micros in an EI regime but I don't have chelated trace mix. I can find JBL Ferropol or Brightwell Aquatics FlorinMulti. What is the dosage that I need to use so as to ensure abundant amount of trace elements? Thanks

EI requires water changes but PPS PRO doesn't require that much if not many fish are in the tank. Furthermore, is it not possible that with PPS PRO just the correct amount of nutrients is placed in the tank? I'm just contemplating here and I don't have a favourite one :)

Yes but still on Day 1 we only have micros and no macros...how do the plants grow on Day 1 without macros? Take into account that we also did a 50% water change the day before and gave the tank the day off... :)

Why do we dose micros on day 1 of EI and macros on day 2? Doesn't that mean that on day 1 the plants will have no available macros to use thus defeating the purpose of EI?

Algae is rotting due to the Excell and the water seems a bit "poluted". I am just trying to understand the concept to be honest and might just do 2 water changes per week or so.

According to EI Iron should be 0.5ppm per week. According to http://www.fishfriend.com/fertfriend.html 1ml of Seachem Flourish in my 80L tank will give 0.04ppm and 12 ml will give 0.48ppm. So should I dose 4ml of Seachem Flourish every other day 3 times a week?

So if you do daily WC which is very good as I have read through the forum, then you do need to dose both macros and micros at the same time? Isn't that a problem with Iron combining with I don't know what etc etc :)
