Ardjuna saves the day :) So we need surface agitation to prevent high and lethal co2 levels? Why wouldnt we want 1bps lets say for 3 hours to reach 40ppm and when lights on to remain at those levels rather than 3bps 1 hour to reach 40ppm and then surface agitation to keep at safe levels? thanks

Actually this could not be true...I mean its easier to get co2 levels up when surface movement is low...I am guessing you are trying to say that you could get a good and sustained level of co2 and oxygen with surface movement...I might be wrong so forgive me...

Oh yes the tank is in the extra bedroom so no problem with sound :) No extra bubbles coming from spraybar...just tge reactor is half full of co2 gas and I don't know if the co2 is dissolved efficiently :)

So I might not be dissolving as much co2 as I am pumping?

since I have increased the co2 injection the reactor has more gas in it and is half filled with gas and half with water...does it look ok or is it wrong for a reactor to work like this?

When u place the diffuser under the intake and the co2 gets sucked into the filter dont the bacteria die? I m saying this because i did this and i saw some cyanobacteria forming on the grabel. Might this be the reason?

It is a paintball CO2 bottle. I have an inline diffuser, I used it once but it needs a high output pressure something that my system doesn't have.
