Expensive book, but a good read on the subject: I have a Walstead style tank at the moment... I top-up water and did a water change six months ago... The first is three years... I've also started adding minimal ferts once a week as the substrate has become exhausted...

Argh!!! I have the dreaded spots in my tank... Damned neons from a certain popular, nationwide fish retailer :( So, is there any shrimp/snail safe treatment? Or how do I get the shrimps out? Temp is being increased as we speak... Cheers,
