I measure ph with my tds pen, same spot daily. I can place the probe in my overflow chamber and leave for a few minutes for the probe to stabilize.
I contacted the guy in Germany, He told me to measure pH in my sump with the diffuser and then with the reactor.
Obviously the micro bubbles from...
Only if I shut off the valve completely will it burp out gass every now and then. But slightly open it doesnt do that :) I dont quite get why my ph is higher hmm. If we assume it dissovles 100% then should be better than a diffuser, and the 3bps I was running on diffuser should be more than enough
Update on the reactor, hmm not really happy about it... 4.5bps 1.5bps more than with my co2art diffuser. And yet pH is still 0.2 higher than with diffuser. Using 50% more co2 to get less of pH drop just feels weird
Hi Sdogg, yea after opening the bypass a bit, my pH actually raised. Now im at 1bps more than my diffuser, thought I was gonna save on Co2 with this reactor hmm
Hi all
I just installed the midi version yesterday with a bypass on my 576l tank with 112l sump.
Previously had the co2art bazooka which was doing a good job 3bps was enough to go from 7.5ph to 6.9, green on the drop checker with 20 ppm fluid in.
The reactor is driven by a Eheim compact 600l/h...
Thanks, yea I will look into that :) ! Thanks all
Just a quick following up question.
I found this on Amazon.de (I'm from denmark)
It says 20mg/L is that the same as 20ppm ?
Thanks for clarifying :) I measured exactly 1ml og the drop checker solution and exactly 1ml of distilled water. I just find it hard to see the color of it maybe it's more than 15ppm and turning into yellowish?
I'll try adding a few more drops, worth a try :)
Hi, thanks :)
So drop checker is basically a ph indicator, and since I don't know my kh I will not know how much ppm co2?
I actually just found a test report for my well water, it says 48mS/m, not sure if that can be converted to kH?
Hi all :)
I recently decided to convert my low tech to gas.
Tank was running low light and ferts fine with not many algeas, so I do not plan to mess with the lighting, as that seems good.
I just wanted to get a confirmation that I'm doing this right :)
I got a co2art regulator yesterday...
I asked about the tollerance and how it works, this is the answer I got:
Both the tolerance and the threshold are user programmable, I suggest that a threshold of 30 ppm and a tolerance of 4-5 ppm, but the user gets to define the set point and the range as he sees fit. And yes, there is a...
Hello
So I thought about buying the oco meter to meassure co2 ppm.
But do anyone from here had a chance to test it out yet?
Curious to know :-)

I dont belive its the water thats gone bad.
Cause if the calibration water isnt exactly 7.01 lets say its 7.05 infact, the probe should read 7.01 in it no matter what..
On the profillux controller you type in the 2 pH fluids you calibrate with, like calibration fluid 1 = 4.01 calibration fluid 2...
Thanks it was 0.2pH swing bit more than .02 :p
okay calibrated last night, tested in 7.01 + 4.01 solution, ph showed 7.01 and 4.01 so that was ok.
Now this morning I tested in only 7.01 water, it showed 7.06-7.07pH
I belive its gona bad?
Thanks for your input :)
Well I mean I fill up the rubber tip probes come with, with the desire pH solution. And after calibration I throw it away.
I will try and clean it a bit.
Ok so just now i recalibrated the probe. Let it stay in ph4.01 water for 10min before calibration, same with ph...
What is KCL ?
Yea I reuse the calibration fluid, usualy fill up the soft rubber tip the probes come with to calibrate in.
I also heard that calibration fluid max last for 12 months then its time for replace.
Btw. this is the probe I have...
I've used ph controllers with great succes, I believe that the 0.05pH hysteresis is not gonna cause any bba problems.
But I've heard of probes having a lifetime of 12-24months. Maybe I should order some new calibration fluid.
How do you clean your probe? Mine might be dirty,
Infact if probe is bad this might solve my BBA problems :o
Another thing. I should mention is, one month ago i send in my temp probe for warranty. I noticed a crack in it when cleaning it. Could this have caused any electrical interferens with my pH probe?
I know you might say, dont run a pH...
Hi
Okay I've been running my tank for about a year now. 530l heavely plantet tank.
Ive got the GHL profilux II aquarium computer and a GHL pH probe (should be good quality)
Last I calibrated it was 19dec, now I just calibrated it again 3 january aprox 15days between.
I noticed something. I run...
Hi
I have a 530l planted tank, currently using http://www.niersbachtal.de/CO2-Zubehoer ... ::129.html
But im not very happy with it tbh.. Either it doesnt disolve the co2 propperly, or it will make a gas pocket inside it :/
Im runing a Eheim pro3 2080 should be enough..
What reactors are you...
