By dead space i meant that the space behind is a little useless, personally i would prefer the hard scape further back with some room for some plants behind and then a nice carpet in the fore ground, using all the space behind for planting taler plants would dominate the scape.

Well, im having some bad algae problems on my gravel, i clean it off every week and it just comes back, im using the AE 3 Step thingy for ferts, im thinking about upping the dosage of co2, adding some more plants and adding some more circulation. Would these help? Sam.

My tank has pretty good flow, i have about 10x turnover so thats a big plus:) I have my eye on a fluval FX5 aswell :D

Well here we have it, my new tank :) Its a Fluval Roma 125 with Standard lighting (2x20w tubes) Ehiem external and Fluval internal filters JBL plant substrate and Pea Gravel 200w Heater It has been a bit of a journey with this tank, i have had to place it near a window as theres nowhere else...

Well today i bought a dual 30w starter unit, and a tube, i will be buying another plant growth tube tomorow :) so i should be close to 60w for my 24g aquarium, it looks like il have to get my co2 up to scratch:)

Now that seems too complicated for me, im ok with building stuff but dont ask me to measure out powders lol, il get reading!

I just broke my glass co2 diffuser :thumbdown: and i cant afford another for a while. is it ok to repair it with epoxy glue? will the chemicals effect the fish? i wont place it in the tank until its completely cured of course. Sam.
