    Plant Name??

Cheers guys. I had a look at plantgeek.net to see if I could find it but no luck. The leaves are red when they sprout out of the ground and as the leaf opens up it goes a strong green colour. They are growing quiet quickly. How would I go about propagating the plant? Do I just separate the...

    Plant Name??

Could someone help me identify the stemed plant that is in the foreground to the right and the one to the left of it. I got the plants in the pic from the LFS who were getting rid of them anyway but forgot to ask about their names.

Contolling direction of " Runners "

The runners from my Hygrophila difformis are just cut from the main stem and planted as normal. Found that they grow slight skew and then straigthens out afterwards as the plant grows towards the source of light.

    Riccia problem- lack of light?

I'm guessing here, but I'd say there is a lack of a particular micronutrient (or macronutrient). I not going to suggest which ones as I'm still trying to remember them all but the connoisseur's will soon post something helpful up. I would remove them if you are going to be away for a while just...

    Light? Medium? or High?

I been using liquid carbon intermediates and EI dosing for over a year now. It might take a while to understand and get used but it becomes really easy to do and can alter plant nutrients depending on their uptake. I find it may take a minute or two longer to do but the health and growth of the...

    Java Fern Decay???

Farcanal: My tank temp is steady at 26 Celsius. The decay has slowed down and the new leaves seem fine at the moment. I did have the same situation with the Windelov aswell but that has come to a halt. That tank looks really nice, how strong is your lighting? Ceg4048: I have been dosing about...

    Java Fern Decay???

I'm using a tetratec internal 400 plus filter. It has an airhole at the top of the filter to allow for extra aeration. Would it be better for my co2 tube to go into the filters' airhole rather than using the diffusing ladder?

    Java Fern Decay???

My Java Fern has leaves that are decomposing. These are old leaves. I have new leaves growing really nice lush green but then after a while of growth they start to go through the same process as the old leaves but not at the same size. Would anyone be able to tell me what is wrong with the plant...

    Downoi melt.

I have found that with the Egeria Densa plant that if Easycarbo is added to the water column, the plant begins to 'melt'. Most likely not the case but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

    Microsorum pteropus "Philippine and 'Windelov'

I have also been to Maidenhead Aquatics and a chap there thinks that the Windelov will only grow in poor conditions and conditions are too rich then the Windelov will start to decompose. He showed me in the book about conditions needed. He had the wrong end of the stick because the book did not...

    Microsorum pteropus "Philippine and 'Windelov'

Hey guys. I've been doing some research about the Windelov plant as I have some in my tank. There are sites saying that this plant will only grow with low nutrient concentration and in a low lit area of the tank. Does this mean the plant is completely saturated with light with a low WPG...
