This feels a silly Question but here goes! Just set up a Twinstar 600 light. The acrylic legs had some protective film on them. The surface of the LEDs looks like it has a film on it but I’m not certain. Is there a protective film over the light surface as well? I don’t want to start peeling...

OK think I get it now TunaSun is Amazon Sun Anyone have a handle on what the difference between the 160 and 360? As far as I can see 160s would be adequate for my purposes, even with demanding plants?

My brother is growing HC in his tank, I'll ask him to post an update. HC mostly needs lots of flow, CO2 (liquid or gas) and soft water. Light levels are not so important (although 18 w should be fine in tha sized tank)

I'm thinking of getting a 24 x 15 x 15 tank from Aquariums LTd (rimless etc.) Would it be viable to light it with 2 or more Wave Solaris compact T5 s ? One does a good job in my 12 inch cube. Would be a lot cheaper than a luminaire - Tom

Had no problems with mine, exept that ember tetras can get sucked through the grill! Reasonable amount of flow but I have added a powerhead.

Was thinking about it for my 260 but on retrospect, I already have 1.7 wpg with the two 39 watt tubes. Plants seem to be growing admittedley the HC at the bottom is taking it's time but similar to previous posts I think I don't add enough CO2 (another story). I wouldn't bother initially....
