There in anyway. I bought 2 grobeam 500's and replaced the t8's last night. Very bright indeed. The fish weren't too happy but have calmed down now. Will see what they do in the future as to plan growth.

Yeah, I looked at those. I would need to look into the angles it beams at as I don't really want to hang it above the tank (currently it rests on the tank). Another option is the AquaFX but I can't find many people talking about them, which makes me think they are not that good.

The lights in my tank hood are broken, it looks like the balast has a dodgy connection but with it being near water I don't want to go messing about with it. What can I do? Can I replace the ones in the hood? Or is it a case of getting a new system?

Hi All, This might have been answered but I can't find it. I've read somewhere that I can fit a T6 tube into my T8 fittings using some bushes? My tube is only a 15" one so I am wondering if it is worth changing it for a T6 tube, will I notice any difference? My second option is just to add...
