    Angels and Cardinals

I remember reading, that in the wild one of their natural foods is neon, and cardinal tetras. From my own experience, i agree with 'mauritis' , anything they can fit in their mouths.

    Otocinclus Fry

Well done. I was lucky enough to get some home bred ones from a ukaps member couple of weeks ago ( Thanks Bridgey-c} And when they do come out, they move round the tank in tight formation, moving amongst the algae covered wood in my shrimp tanks, and them all vanish for days.

    Daphnia from the local pond.

I would be very cautious. There is always the risk of introducing some of the many critters you find in a natural pond, into you Aquarium. Not to mention items discarded in the water. Im not prepared to take the risk. I play safe and only use enriched frozen. Costly, but convenient, and safe.

    FRY DRY FOOD

Thanks for your input , the stuff you suggest from Ta Aquaculture sounds ideal, and is very reasonably priced. If you two have had success with it, thats good for me. Its amazing whats out there, just knowing were to look, and more importantly which are the best to go for.

Introducing fish into a CO2 set up

Never has a truer word been spoken. I was not aware of this initally, until i came across it on the forum. First time i tried it, i could not believe how much easier it was to read. My lad has the JBL one, not the most attractive, but once we realised why it had a built in white...

Introducing fish into a CO2 set up

Hi Arty. Thanks for your thoughts. Not really to sure if its O2. The problem only happens when new stock are added, after a few hours, all is normal, and they behave perfectly. Maybe im just being over cautious. Prior to using CO2, all new stock would dart to the bottom, and hide...

Introducing fish into a CO2 set up

Just curious, any tips , best way to do it. As a experienced fish keeper i have no issues how to do it normally. However, now i have pressurised CO2 ive started only introducing fish , several hours before it comes on, and in fact tempted to keep it switched off for 24 hours. What do others do?

    Are CONGO TETRAS plant eaters/nibblers

Interesting. You suspect correctly, any small cherries that break cover, and head for the surface, dont make it back. I have had to move some stock around to resolve it.

    Aphyosemion Gardneri behaviour

I witnessed one of these recently in a LFS Jump out of its tank, and into the adjacent tank. Sadly this tank was full of Cherry shrimps. By the time i got the owner over it had killed two, and a third was in its mouth.

    Are CONGO TETRAS plant eaters/nibblers

Can anbody who is presently keeping these beautiful fish at present, clarify whether or not they would sample the local fauna in my tank. Whilst some plants i have are considered safe with most fish, i do have some delicate ones.

Does the Asian Rummynose shoal as well as Rummynose Tetra?

Re: Does the Asian Rummynose shoal as well as Rummynose Tetr I had 24in total, equal number of male /female. Kept them for about a year, before moving them on. The color of the males was amazing,in particular when sparring up to each other. I fully support what has already been said about...

    Sawba Resplendens (ascian Rummeynose)

Hi Steve. Saw them years ago, but most recently at Green machine, looked excellent in one of their planted display tanks.as is the case it got me going, and thinking, as my second planted tank was ready for fish. Been plants, armano, and Ottos for months. Few weeks later Maindenhead had them...

    Sawba Resplendens (ascian Rummeynose)

I have a shoal of 12 males and 4 females. Over the last few days the males have been going through what appears to be a spawning ritual, and their Orange heads and tails, are quiet luminous. Has anbody spawned them recently.
