I have been chatting to foxfish a bit about building a reactor, using a water filter housing? But would need a pretty large one for my tank size, so im thinking that I may build 2 smaller 10 inch ones for eaqch side. Would I need the 2 seperate needle valves for the co2 line?

I have been thinking of this also, but am worried about any negative effects on the filters themselves, the Tetratecs are a bit prome to getting air locks.

I have been googling... Apparently if the pressure behind the solenoid is not high enough it won't stop the flow effectively? And sometimes debris can get stuck inside, so unplug from the bubble counter, and blast through some co2 through the solenoid to hopefully dislodge whatever it is...

So how do you do it? Have you tested to see how much you add and what co2 saturation it gives? or is it a kind of hit and miss and see how it goes kinda thing?

How would this affect the livestock in the tank? I can get plenty of soda water from where I work, which is just carbonated water...hmmmmm ???

Sorry again to go off topic, but I too am about to install a pressurised Co2 system, and I have 2 external filters running on the tank. Does this method of placing the diffuser under your intakes get uniform distribution of CO2, and have you had any problems with the filters getting gasses...
