    Repairing chipboard?

Is it possible to get a picture of the damage, if A.L don't come up trumps then it will give us a better idea of a possible repair.

Auto Dosing EI with a dosing pump (diagram and calculations)

If you look closely on the bottom far right you will see a gold coloured tab, this is for hard soldering the pump to wires.

DIY Project DIY Reactor - pictures, assembly and testing

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AQUA-MEDIC-T-CONN ... 500wt_1182 A lot easier than drilling a hole and sealing it, just fit this before the water enters the chamber and the co2 will be pre mixed with the water.

    Installing HMA/RO filters

    Installing HMA/RO filters

It is like any other tap, just turn it off to stop it. 75GPD isn't that slow tbh, it all depends on your local water pressure. It would be a good idea to know the TDS of your local water, then you can go from thre. This can be obtained from writing to the local water board, asking sum one who...

    Installing HMA/RO filters

Yes under the circumstances I think it is your only option. HMA wont soften your water, it will just purify it, removing heavy metals, chlorine etc. The RO-Unit is what you are going to have to purchase, which can be found at a much reduced price on Ebay but watch what you are buying. I would...

    Installing HMA/RO filters

Both of them can be pirectly plumbed into your cold water supply, or attached on to the end of a conventional garden tap. To attach it directly to the copper pipe u need a saddle clamp: http://www.melevsreef.com/pics/rodi/pierced_kit.jpg This pierces the pipe and acts like a valve adjusting...

DIY Project DIY Reactor - pictures, assembly and testing

When I made mine I had a bend at the bottom, I saw it as an advantage meaning I wouldn't have to rig up some way of holding the reactor in mid air, the reactor can just rest on the floor. also it is unlikely people will be able to have the reactor directly above their filter so there will be a...

    DIY Filter Schematic.

I think you should stick with your current filter, but put a fluidizing reactor/fluid bed filter on the return side. This will provide you with an enormous surface area for colonizing bacteria. The filter is self contained and dosnt ever need to be cleaned as dead bacteria is removed from the...

    edited: any thoughts on the size 36w x 15h x 17d"

Re: any thoughts on the size 36 x 15 x 15" If it has walls on 3 sides than a conventional rectangular tank would be better if you don’t have a preference for a curved tank. Also it is only worthwhile having opti-white sides if you are actually going to see them. Many tanks just have...

    Hydor ETH on Filter Inlet?

I might have been doing something wrong I just found not enough water was getting into the filter. To try it out first before cutting your hose, slowly close off the tap on the inlet into the filter, this would be some indication as to how the filter will act with reduced flow. Jon

    Hydor ETH on Filter Inlet?

I found when I had my ETH on the inlet it restricted the flow vastly and casued the filter to always klunk and things.

So the priming cap in my Aqua One CF1200 is stuck...

Yes there is a hole going to the inside of the filter canister, if you shine a torch down it you should see a straight piece of plastic going across the diameter of the hole, push on this bit, and twist from the out side of the priming cap.

So the priming cap in my Aqua One CF1200 is stuck...

What do you mean its stuck? Have you pushed the red sprung leaver to the side fully and tried twisting it? There is a recess inside if you have a helping hand you can push with a stick against the inside of the priming cap and twist at the same time? More than likely the rubber o ring is seized...

DIY Project DIY Reactor - pictures, assembly and testing

Anyone thinking of making one of these and buying the threaded barb connectors from here: http://www.lbsgardenwarehouse.co.uk/rec ... PRDR-HF47/ Be warned the sizing is for the internal diameter of the threaded part, so a 1/2" threaded bard actually has a 3/4" external thread, the same for...

    Possible co2 reactor?

    Regulator -Two washers

I have just purchased a new regulator and it has come with two different washers, one is the white Teflon type one that i am used to, but there is also a black O ring, I cant imagine them both needing to go on as the Teflon one usually makes the seal. Has anyone else come across this? Jon
