Im looking at getting some new plants for My discus tank. i have had to take into account that it will be running at around 28 degrees, no co2 and substrate will be ozmocote base layer with sand above. will be dosing ferts weekly.
The plant choices i am thinking of are......

theres a lot of people going on about plants "pearling" in this neck of the woods. is it just evidence of the plants producing o2? or it it the Co2 sticking to the plants?
Either way i turned all my filters and pumps off today to get the discus out of their hiding places so i could observe...

well ive seen some of the plants look fantastic emmersed, but that my tank is probably to deep for most of them to grow emmersed. it was just me being curious as i like stepping outside the box on occasion.
tbh, i tried purchasing from an online retailer a few weeks back to hear that a lot of the suppliers for south american species have had bans imposed due to an outbreak...
