Sorry about the poor photos , just a quick point and shoot, and just fighting with some green spot algae at the moment ( new tank , only 2 weeks old)

Right so I have the carpet going in the right direction , but its not as compact as id like and its not as close to the gravel as I would like either , I shall post some photos im not sure if its due a trim , its been 2 weeks.

Just planted the above , so is kinda long around 3 - 6 cm , just waiting for it to root. My question is after its got some decent roots, can I then trim hard to gain a carpet ?

Hey , How do you re plant tiger louts cuttings, just cut as close as you can to the roots and re- plant, or do you need to separate the plant with the roots ?

what the sand or Akadama ? I was going to slope it so the back if higher to create a little bit of depth to the scape.

Thanks guys well im going to give it a go. . . . the worst that can happen is lots of floating riccia right ? and some time wasted but on the other hand i could end up with a bit of wood or a stone coved in lush green riccia :D . . in my mind nothing to lose :).

Hello i was thinking about having 3/4 of my tank Akadama and the other 1/4 sand. The sand would be at the front of the tank. I was just thinking will carpeting plants like HC Cuba and Glosso get affected by the sand and their roots ?

But wont it all eventually all die and float to the top because of all the dead bits under the hair net ? So nothing will be able to hold it in place ?

What`s the best way to create a riccia lawn / carpet with out it all eventually floating to the top. I have seen some people use riccia to create a lawn effect and it looks amazing once you get a nice thick low lawn which starts to pearl but . . . . . . if you read on they remove it because it...

its just i hope to be getting a 3.3 foot tank, and want nice mature plants not little scrawny ones, the plants i will be cutting is vallis a type of cryp,purple rotala and a amazon sword, but its in need of a big trim

well the theory is when you cut hair it grows twice as quick, is this the same for aquarium plants ?

Hello. I found some moss, is it aquatic moss? To me it looks like Christmas moss, or maybe Peacock moss?

NOT SURE I CAN GROW HC OR GLOSSCO. I HAVE 96 LITRE TANK WITH 2 36WATT U SHAPED BULBS, THEY ARE DAY LIGHT TUBES SO HALF BLUE HALF DAYLIGHT. IM RUNNING DIY CO2 AND IM GETTIN ABOUT 1-2 BPS, BUT ONLY LASTS A WEEK IF IM LUCKY. I HAVE JBL AQUABASE UNDER GRAVEL FERT CAPED WITH PEA GRAVEL, MY HAIR GRASS...
