Ah I see, Im going to try, both intake and outlet at the same end , with the intake in the far left corner of the tank ( If looking at it straight on) with the outlet closer to the front panel of glass, with a power head on the over side opposite the intake, Hows this sounds ?

ermm not much at all. instead of the normal out let which I don't think is the best i have opted for a eheim spray bar kit which does the job :). also just bought another fx5 will compare the two as the one i just got has the original pipes and out let

Re: Broken Ex1200 (again) Hello I have a EX1200 and have had some problem mainly the filter head leaking. If you can get a fx5 I would recommend it I now have 2 fx5s instead of 1 fx5 and 1 ex1200. Dont get me wrong the EX is a good filter its just not made up to stranded compared to the fx5.

i have a fx5 and a tetra tec 1200 on a 400 litre tank but am wanting to upgrade the tetratec to maybe the 2400 or the biggest eheim 2260 i think ?

any one had or used a Eheim 2260 ? could they give me a review ? i was looking to buy something of similar size maybe this or the tetratec 2400 ? any help ?

LOOKING FOR THE EHIEM QUICK RELESE PIPES THAT YOU PUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PIPE AND JUST UNCLIP AND REMOVE THE FILTER NOT SURE WHERE I CAN FIND THEM ? ALSO EXTERNAL CO2 RECATOR FOR THE EX1200 ? ANY OTHER PARTS WITH ARE USEFUL FOR A FILTER, I THINK THE PIPE IS 16-22MM

okl i was also thinking about a jbl external filter my lfs rates them on his 5ft high tec planted tank

i have one with a fx5, but the ex1200 leaks from the canster head and also where you put the pipes on the aqua stop

hello i have a tetratec 1200 external filter and it leaks :@ i have got a new o ring and fitted it where the canster head removes from the body it still leaked then i read some where to put vasaline on it and guess what it still leaks and now it leaks from one of the taps where you screw it up...
