Thanks for the advice :) I think ill take a gamble on the tiles at that price and go for the drivers you posted :) At least that way if i do fall short on the leds i have the drivers to back up some quality Leds :)

Just got off the phone to another company and if I go for black acrylic with a clear front panel it will come in under £900 :)

I can do the whole thing in acrylic for a touch over £1800 in materials. Am i safe to assume that 25mm acrylic will suffice?

For anyone interested my quotes are as follows 96x36x36 £7400 96x30x30 £2400 The 96x30 is 22mm glass :o The front pane comes in at £1450 aparantly so I now need to decide on wood or steel construction.

Anyone have a rough idea of how much weight an aquarium base could take? Id like to try the large 'master stone' arangement in a 120l...... but i dont know if the base will like me for it :roll: i could place polystyerene on the base if that would help ;) i think the base is 6mm glass.

can i use this? un treated, as in tv packaging stuff? i want to create a layout in a tall tank but i cant stack rocks as front to back it is only about 15cm :( the plan is to silacone some mashed up pagoda stone to it :p
