Hi Paul, I use cheap mechanical timers for all my co2 solenoids tried digital for the co2 but they never seemed to last long.

Agree with gush or cal Aqua pipes, great quality to remove the pipe for cleaning just push the filter hose a little further onto the pipe and it should come off easy enough.

Also worth noting works just as well with 9/12 filter hose for 16/22 lily pipes and a shower scrunchy from the supermarket is far out lasting any of my pipe cleaning brushes, so far.

No need for bleach with AWB's method, superb solution.

No problem, not the longest of tweezers but I find them especially comfortable to work with, had mine for a couple of years now and still as sturdy as when I first got them.

As long as the filter is powerful enough to create even flow along the full length spray bar no problem, you can buy extension kits for most spray bars or DIY one from acrylic or go for apfuk glass spray bars.

Looking good Kirk, personally I would always use something under the tank, if you can source foam mat the same colour as the cabinet it shouldn't stand out in my experience.

Tmc 45x45 cabinet could be an option.

Try and find a yoga mat or foam mat same colour as your cabinet.

Just fitted a sera 500 to my 40ltr tank, tired of cleaning inlines every 3-5 days for optimum diffusion, first impressions of the sera not the best build quality (co2 nipple etc) and it's going to take some messing for optimum timings etc, all experimental ready for setting up my 3ft in the new...

I used a hole saw to cut holes then wood filler, sand and paint same colour as the cabinet, coated that with a smear of aquarium silicone to stop any water ingress from spills cause you know eventually they will happen ;-)

Best I found acrylic rod same Id as the pipe and cut with a jigsaw, looked round for a while for clear or white end caps to no avail.

Got mine from polymax.co.uk 12mm worked ok on 13mm id acrylic.

Maybe over zealous cleaning of the silicone or possibly stresses put on the seals by moving the tanks location several times can't be 100% sure tbh, little annoyed as it was my favourite of all my tanks.

I have to agree with troi, I have a little 12 ltr clearseal tank which recently popped a seal, I didn't notice for a few days the water had seeped into the under tank mat and I found a nice puddle behind the cabinet it sits on.

Yes, flow should point in the same direction for best results.

You could leave the inlet open ended and use a shrimp guard as the mesh, I've done this with a couple of my acrylic inlets, works a treat.

Check Gary Nelson's solution 'A Twist of Nature' | UK Aquatic Plant Society looks tidy IMHO.

All pond solutions do one but its a bit ugly IMHO if your prepared to attach to the cabinet natural aquario light arm may be available through freshwater shrimp.

Fair point mate, aqua nanos do look alright to be fair dennerle scapers tank could be another possibility not sure if they are available in uk yet though.

its a patience thing IME mate you could always pm easerthegeezer for some tips he made some very tidy spraybars ;)

either acrylics not warm enough or your rushing the bend mate or do you mean wrinkles as in the imprint from the spring its a lot of trial and error with acrylic in my experience can be nearly as costly as lilly pipes ;)

Ran the e700 on the shrimp nano in my sig about 3/4 full no problems had it on full for a week moved a bit of the gravel foreground other than that was fine for a 12 ltr mate

Hi does anyone know if there is a way to fit the 300w hydor to 12/16 filter tubing without leaks reason being I have a 90cm optiwhite that I will be running with two cristalprofi filters but would like not to have two heaters or does anyone think the 200w would be ok for a 180 ltr tank any help...

Does it scratch easier than float glass or does it show up more if you scratch it due to the clarity of the glass :lol:
