Seedling
Ok, so this is my 2nd journal on UKAPS. Just posted the last pic of my previous tank over here.
This nano was inspired by some of the newer amano\ADA tanks that are rich in epiphytic plants (good ada journal issue here) and by the 30L nano by Paulo (clickit).
There's mainly gravel for soil mixed in with some look-alike ADA soil. Tried to get some CO2 in there but every attempt failed in some hardware malfunction. Did not want to spend another 75 euro's on a regulator and solenoid. But this tank doesn't really need CO2.
For lighting I have a aquatic nature solar lux 26watt 6500K bulb that has been running for 6,5 hours a day the past 3 months (upped it to 10 hours last week).
Plants are:
Bolbitis
Anubias Nana
Microsorum Mini
Microsorum Pteropus Trident
Stringy Moss - Leptodictyum riparium -> mixed with Flat Moss
Flat mos - Drepanocladus aduncus -> mixed with Stringy, disappeared
Willow Moss - Fontinalis antipyretica
Quell Willow Moss - Fontinalis hypnoides -> died, planted spot was too dark
Phoenix Moss - Fissidens Fontanus
Spiky Moss - Taxiphyllum sp. -> covers the rock I used to create hight
Flame Moss - Taxiphyllum sp. -> covers the rock I used to create hight
Mini Pelia\Jagged Germanderwort - Riccardia chamedryfolia
China moss - Vesicularia sp.
Mini Liverwort - Plagiomnium affinis -> died unfortunately
Peacock Moss - Taxiphyllum sp. -> just added this week
There's a lot of mosses listed that do not really show in the photo's. But I really like mosses, so even in small patches I keep em in there.
Here's the pics over the last 3 months. I have more detailed shots as well, if anyone's interested I can put those up.
First week:
Can't remember how many weeks
Don't know either
Today.
