I’ve always been in to reef keeping but recently decided to try my hand at a planted aquarium. The tank is 60cmx25cm high with the following equipment:

Co2 via pressurised tank
Eheim Classic external filter with lily pipes
Aqua one Dynamic 58 light
Oase heater

Tank volume is around 35ltrs

One of the items I’m thinking of replacing is the light. I really like the design but it’s only 18w so not sure it will have the power long term. Also the last plant I put on the right behind the wood really struggled. I have thought about the Kessil Tuna Sun A160WE but would appreciate peoples feedback on suitable lights or whether what I have is ok.

Anyway here’s a couple of pictures.

Great dimensions. The forum has a growing community of reef and macro algae tanks, hopefully we can tempt you back
I would love to do a marine tank at some point with the same tank as I’ve used for the tropical. My last tank was Reefer 525XL and was easy maintenance due to the gadgets. Don’t think I would go that big again due to cost to fill with corals etc.

The light you have should be fine. What fertiliser are you using?

cheers Darret
