Am I seeing double or are there two posts by you with the same title?
I think its one of those bog plants that will survive almost equally well submerged.

Troi,..do you just plant this into the substrate or do you need to tie it to a drift wood or something like an anubias?
 
Just found out the answer from the guy I am getting it from,...yeah we need to tie it to something for it to do well.
