Alternanthera deficiency help

Dosing full EI now and patiently waiting for new growth improvements. Fish seem fine.

One thing that keeps crossing my mind is surely I would have seen some BGA or something if my nitrate was too low?

My lighting I'm told is very high and would cause a disaster if I was short of something as important as nitrogen?

Fish should be fine and your plants happier. Its not necessary to have BGA and be short of nitrate.
The water changes and cleaning filters one does is what removes the organics, so they don't all have to go through nitrification and all the rest of the processes which alters the chemical make up of the water.
