I know that water from a portable dehumidifier is 6.5 ph much the same as distilled .
Since i don't have the tools to measure for minerals I ask the question "is dehumidifier water agood top ups"?
I dose with Excel Flourish and iron also ;with tap water at 8.5 ph and gh /kh that's off the charts i would love to use my dehumidifier safely.
I have read from a employee of a company that make dehumidifiers that the water is better then tap water.
Any opinions more then welcomed "should i try it"??

Thanks for looking up the link..
The same reply as ive seen in Google already so on to question two .
My conclusion is good air, great water , bad air, bad water .
Since my dehumidifier is from my good living area and the excessive fish tanks I have 🙂, I would assume the water quality to be good.
Now my question still remains. Are the Minerals the same as distilled water(non existent minerals) do i need to add trace elements etc to use it.

I researched this a bit more and hopefully others will use find this useful.
Dehumidifier water should not be used for Aquariums.
The way a dehumidifier works is by drawing air over chilled coils and collecting the condensation, and the metals used in the coils are not food grade.
First point is the quality of air. The water collected also tends to concentrate the air pollution , and we all have that .
Second is the collection units themselves they have a tendency to cultivate mold spores. (on a side note its recommenced you clean out/sanitize the tub periodicity to avoid allergy problems).
Lastly the water is created much the same as distilled is except without the steam process so hence the water buffering(no minerals worthy of measuring) is not there and the pH is too low.
If i missed anything feel free to comment 🙂
