I have been reading so many opinions on different methods of getting Co2 into the tank and these two seem to get the most votes.

Which would you recommend?

Also what psi is needed for each one to work properly

I use an inline - they need a working pressure of more than 2.5 bar generally, so if you want to use one, make sure you get a regulator that works at this pressure, or better still allows you to adjust pressure.

They can be a pain to clean compared to an in tank diffuser, which you can just swap out without messing with filter tubing

I assume you are looking to compare something like the Up In-line Atomizer and the Bazooker In Tank atomizer.
I've used both. They use the same micro-bubble technology really so it depends on what matters more to you.

In-line:
Allows less bubbles to be seen in the water column.
If you are using a spray bar, bubbles can build up in there until a burp happens.
More difficult to clean than the bazooker.

In Tank:
Easy maintenance and cleaning.
More difficult to get optimum CO2 distribution.
Produces more in tank bubbles.
