BBA Wierdly Disappearing?

Hi.

I was having a few problems with BBA, was keeping on top of it with trimming etc, then i noticed it on a rock and a piece of bogwood and was struggling to get rid of it.

I started dosing EI last week after only dosing Micro, and the BBA has just completely disappeared from the rock and looks like it is dying on the bogwood???

Is this because of the EI?

I run pressurised co2 at 30ppm and have low lighting, around 40w in 120litres.

Any ideas would be greatly taken.

It is probably because your plants are doing better. No longer leaching organics into the water and thus no longer feeding the BBA.

That's odd, because I thought when macro nutrients were being dosed algae would do better.

A common mistake, proven wrong over 20 years ago but still this myth is kept alive! All the beautiful tanks you see on the internet are loaded with macro nutrients, either in the substrate or in the water column (or both)...

Wish the BBA in my tanks disappear weirdly too. LOL
