beasts from the trough

Hi, can anyone tell me what these creatures are? They're from a garden trough, which has very clean water, if full of weed. Currently has many tadpoles (toad). Normally if I sweep it with a fine-mesh net I get mostly daphnia, but these don't look like daphnia to me (I may be wrong!) and seen free-swimming, there are a few more daphnia-looking things in the mix. These are more elongated. They seem mostly to be about 3mm long. I have a short video clip which gives a better impression but can't work out how to post it.

If these are deadly parasites, I'm afraid it's too late. The fish love them. I'm relatively relaxed about taking stuff from this trough as have done on previous occasions with a mix of creatures present.
