Beta destroying leaves on lobelia cardinalis mini

Hello guys,
Over last month I started noticing some destroyed leaves on Lobelia. They look ripped.

Finally I caught on the video who is doing this....


Is this normal behavior? Never seen him doing this before...

Could he possibly be eating snail eggs?

I'm not sure, I doo have some small pest snails. But cannot see any egs on those leaves.
