Hi

I do have small problem woth blyxa as it looks like do not want to root in substrate it root but above substrate level

any help with this ??

Hard to say. It is tricky plant. I have blyxa and I replanted some recently and just pushed it deeper to the substrate so main stem is covered. It is doing well since. I have 2-3mm gravel.

Yes, this is normal behaviour. As stated, simply push it down deeper into the sediment or let the new growth fly on a white tether. Just a wild guess, but I'd imagine this is Blyxa's solution for colonizing other locations or for reaching the surface.

Blyxa is only tricky when CO2/flow/nutrition are marginal to poor, otherwise it's an obnoxious weed.

Hi

Thanks for reply hmm looks like this is all normal then but my one do not grow to quick as well co2 can't be highest as my fish do not survive this lol

I do have in this tank different plants as java, tenellus, some crypts, anubias, and all looks fine apart from blyxa which do not want to grow much this is low light tank 120w T5 for 240l tank

only other problem with this tank is dust on glass but this is not bad as I have to clean glass every 8-10 weeks

when I bulit this tank I want tank easy to maintain do anybody got some idea what I can use to replace blyxa??

Blyxa seems to be slow grover being you I would keep it. It has no runners so it is low maintenance plant. Sometimes I do wish it grow faster so I could plant more all over the tank. I am using liquid carbo at the moment only. Next week I should install bottled Co2 and more powerful filter with sprinkles so I hope it will pick up faster.
