Hello,

So I mistakenly to help clear some algae added an apple snail to my Betta tank, and well it ate everything despite feeding it wafers, the main issue is the hair grass, I had a nice carpet growing in and it has acted like a little lawn mower and eaten it all, I still can see it has munched the top of it off, do we know if it will come back with basic dosing of ferts and liquid Co2?

I imagine that it will come back, it is no different than having the hair grass trimmed with a scissor.

From what I read, there are a few different species of apple snails, some will mostly avoid eating healthy plants, while others... well, others are the one you have.
Yeah this one has demolished my hair grass, it at least also got rid of all the hair algae on the grass, so in some ways it has worked out.
