I am soon to get my 260L tank, second hand.

This tank will have been previously and recently used for a marine setup.

What cleaning of the tank will I have to do to get it ready for planting?

Will a good scrub with tap water do
the job?

Thanks

That should be fine.
Marine tanks have nothing added, chemical wise, as the stock is so sensitive.
Going the other way is a huge problem!
A quick general scrub and rinse will be fine

Hi
Buy some white vinegar use that to clean it.Then use tap water to rinse.
Its cheap and gives good results.
You maybe off to the fish and chip shop after doing it though, lol.

Kosh,

I gave the tank a good scrub with boling water with White vinagar in it. There were small patched, I mean really small, of that pink stuff that was a bugger to get off. I used a stanly blade to scrape it of the glass and scrubbed what was left.
