Just had a minor brain wave, probably a stupid idea but thought I would see what the general consensus was on an idea.

I want to make a "door" in my aquarium back wall out of milliput which I know is fine for aquarium use. I wanted to paint it with acrylic since its far easier to work with to add aged effects to it, and was then planning on spraying it over with clear enamel to seal it.

Is this something I can do or will I poison my fish? obviously I will let it cure fully before I position it, just wanted to know if it was do-able?
