Hi all,
Is useing an airstone at night to off gas co2 a good or bad idea. I'm thinking in terms of making it more comfortable for critters. Is it really neccessary ? What do you do?
I've never done it but i'm of the impression this works. The other thing to do is get hold of a solenoid - that way you're not wasting CO2 at night by pumping it into the tank just to off gas it again.
Cheers
Matt
Thanks Matt. Sorry I should have mentioned,I've just set up a tank with pressurised co2, and I'm using a solenoid. I was just thinking of critter comfort.
Cheers

If you're using a solenoid i wouldn't have thought it necessary - the aim of the game is to turn your solenoid off so that your plants use the CO2 before lights off. With high turnover anyway you should rapidly offgas any CO2 quickly.
Cheers
Matt
