Co2 solenoid

Howdy, I have a dennerle co2 setup and was wondering what cheap solenoid do you reccomend? (with links) also does it have to be secured to the regulator (and how) as ive heard stories of the pressure building up in the tubing and popping off when its placed inline....

Hi I picked up an aqua medic solenoid from the green machine

been using it about a month with no problems, all the fittings are steel and it comes with a mounting bracket, I've screwed mine inside the cabinet or you could use double sided tape. Not the cheapest but its well made

Cheers, but thats a bit more than I wanted to spend.... I have a reasonable one that I will be getting from a friend but I may have to wait a few weeks. This is just to keep me going until then.

Sound a guy told me in my local shop to buy from eBay he recons ther all similar

thats what i thought. only problem is that will the pressure not build up between the regulator and the solenoid causing the tube to blow off?

I would have thought the fittings would be pretty sturdy. on the ones I've seen once its on its not going anywhere, as long as the pressure in the regulators not set to high it shouldn't go anywhere
