Correct i.d and any top tips

Hi forum, im just wanting a little more on these beauties. Lfs sold these as peruvian angels. Is that correct? Any special requirements? My tank is neutral water parameters but use ro water. Heavily planted with a selection of community fish. Would i be wiser to soften the water gradually for them?
