Does it matter what kind of water is used in trace mix?

Hi all, I was thinking what kind of water is best to use to mix chelated trace powder to make trace solution. Is it ok to use water straight out of the tap? I have up til now been using boiled and cooled tap water which I was told to do. Is there any particular reason I should boil it first?

You can use any water even tap water....I prefer De -ionised water as it stays clearer longer.

How long does your mix of Trace last? I get about 3-4weeks.

Well in my 125l I mix two and a bit teaspoons of trace in 500ml of water. I add 50ml 3 times a week and it lasts about 3 weeks normally.

Ohh I'm still on 1tsp of trace per 500ml as I was recommend. Did you get any noticeable benefit from from upping the mix?

Not a huge amount of difference, I just like to make sure that the plants never lack anything that's all.

I use tap and make 8 weeks supply. Not had any issues. When empty or close to it, I rinse out with tap water and mixup the next batch.
