Eheim Thermo 2324 - Heater not working

hi all

I have installed a Eheim Thermo 2324 into my tank, and removed the current heater. After 5 hours the water temp had dropped from 26c to 22c. (have put the old heater back in now)

I have turned the nob to half way as the instuctions say but it doesnt seem to be heating up. The light comes on stays on for a minute or two then goes back out. And yes the heater is plugged in

Any advice??

Is it new? Only thing I could suggest is try turning it up further. If it's new, and turning it up more doesn't work, it may be a case of returning it under warranty

Out of interest, is it rated to be able to heat the size of tank you have?

Yes it is brand new. have tried turning it up futher the light goes on then back out. without heating up the water.

My tank in 100l and it say it can do tanks up 250l.

Sounds like you have a defective heater
As SteveUK says, maybe a warranty claim which is a pain on a new piece of kit. Contact the vendor to see if they'll rectify it for you.

it turns out that the heating element was a dud and it has all gone back to Eheim.
