Fluval 205 Hoses

I run a fluval 205 using the standard ribbed hoses on my 60L currently. I am upgrading soon to a tank ~150L, I want to change the hoses to non ribbed hoses, as I find the ribbed hoses really limiting with what I can do with them.

I find the Ribbed hose is a really strange size and am finding it difficult to find a replacement hose of a standard rubber type.

I want to get an external hydor heater to remove excess things from my tank, the current ribbed hose is not really suitable to use jubilee clips with. Any ideas where I could get a suitable replacement or what I could use?

Someone gave me a link to a good site for custom rubber hoses that were really reasonable in price.
