Hey guys sorry this journal is slow slow, no new pics yet as the tank looks pretty much the same. No actual HC growth yet, still trying to figure it out.

Damn may have to change the plants then I don't fancy a fire extinguisher on my computer desk, lol

Planning to re-do this tank from scratch as this turned out an epic failure.
Will start a new thread so I'm not linking from thread to thread, let me know if you want to follow my next attempt. and I'll send you the link.
Will try to make you proud Gary Nelson, lol.
Ideas so far are:
Substrate
ADA Malay' (soil)
Unipac Zambezi sand (for non planted area)
Kitty litter to build up the raised areas only where planting will occur and hopefully to assist the aquasoil when it gets old due to it's caution exchange cap'.
Ferts
Easy Carbo (light dose)
FE CO2
EI Doing (small initially then gradually work up to full dose)
Lighting
Standard Fluval Ebi Light
Hardscape
Lava Rock
Plants (still undecided)
Utricularia graminifolia foreground
Eleocharis acicularis - Background
More plants to add but need to do my homework.
