Day 2.

Just starting up again after many years away. Never did manage to grow plants successfully but with the great help from this site, who knows?
Anyway, the housing is under construction!

So, after much debate, the tank is not going to have a lid. It will have 2 pieces of sliding glass in the top and the lights will be suspended under the first shelf which will have a hinged flap on the front to cover them from direct view.

Well, that's the plan.......

lots of work going into this 1 . should end up a real centrepiece of the room . if it was mine though i think after so much effort going into the build , id go for a braceless optiwhite tank . a lot cheaper than you may imagine . poseidons palace build them really cheap , and from what ive seen said about them very good quality too . just my two penneth worth though . either way im sure this is going to be a great setup once finished . il be following this 1`with great interest for sure

To be fair, the cabinet was going to be built anyway...it just needed rejigging for the tank.
I just hope I can get it right with the plants!!!!

I was pointed to the Tropica site by someone on here which is a very helpful site.......I've picked the easy ones!!!
