Garden standing around…

Wow! Look at those aquariums! Who needs a TV?!!
Exactly 😀

Latest FTS image, in need of a trim again but I know I’ll leave it at least another week or two 😂

The scape is just over 4 months old, and I’ve listed below some details of the current running;

This tank receives a 7.5 hour photoperiod, no ramp up or down. ADA solar rgb.
1 x 70% water change a week with tap water via hma filter.
Fertilisation daily with ADA nitrogen, brighty mineral and brighty k, occasionally with ADA iron. I overdose micro and potassium a little now due to plant mass, but nitrogen and iron as bottle instructions. ADA Amazonia 2 soil.
Co2 via in tank aqua rio diffuser, on 2hrs before photoperiod begins and off 1hr before the end of photoperiod.
Filtration via ADA Super jet es-600. Ista mini skimmer and ADA lily pipe.
In tank aquael ultra heater, 23 celcius.

Beautiful Ady, love how you’ve trimmed and grown on all those stems.
It’s getting there now. A little overgrown again but it’s not a bad thing.

Beautiful tank Ady, do I spot some Otothyropsis in there?
I don’t know the exact species, but yes I have some black ottos in there 😀

Still ticking along…..
The 60p needs trimming every 2-3 weeks to maintain stem shape…… the 75p could do with a further fern thinning 😂

Well, it’s back down to just the 75p…
The plan was to take down both the 60p and the 75p and begin something new, however I have decided to keep the 75 running as it still offers a nice feel but is really straightforward to live with 😀
Instead a little reshuffle will allow me chance to scape the little Solar Mini S system recently acquired which fits alongside the old school classic 75p and Solar 1 light unit. These set ups are in stark contrast to the more modern Jungle Puddle set up on the opposite wall.
I’m starting to formulate a scape idea for the Mini s tank, but I’m in no rush and will begin when the time feels right….

Cheerio for now

One contributing factor to keeping the 75p running was a visit to @Horizon Aquatics and a show grade betta that caught my eye….

My previous betta Vega unfortunately contracted dropsy a few months ago, and after a long treatment battle he finally succumbed to the illness. It really affected me and afterwards I decided that the time was right to strip the two tanks and start new projects.
A few weeks ago when visiting horizon i saw the betta imaged below and it began to change my mind about the 75p. The tank is super easy and all plants hold up well with the higher temperatures required for bettas so I thought I’d just keep it going and home another show grade 😍

I named this boy Adana, he looks so good under the NAG green halide, I can’t even imagine what his reds would be like under a solar rgb light 🤯

Anyway, happy to have the 75p still running and a new betta 😁

Cheerio,

Wow this tank is so gracious! I like it a lot :D

I have a question since you also have a open tank. No problems with labyrinth fish species?

For some reason i cant hold them since they get ill because of the temp difference regarding surrounding air and water temp.

Thanks 💚

I haven’t had any issues with the labyrinth fish, but our home is a constant 21.5 celcius.

Beautiful fish. His pout is better than Derek Zoolander's
Blue steel….

Fantastic as always. Nice to see you are leaving the 75p running. That tank is lovely.
Thanks, yes, not the most complicated scape but it offers lots of enjoyment without a huge amount of input…ideal for the lazy aquarist 😂
