You have my sympathy George. Similar issue happened on my ADA tank after a couple of weeks holiday. CO2 line got kinked. Thankfully not quite the issues you look to have had, and have cleared it up now. I think it underlines the importance of a consistent, stable supply of CO2 as one of the key pillars for a successful planted tank.
I think it a was an old blog that I wrote on the previous PFK website. It's been totally updated since then because they were hacked so all the old links are broken. Sorry.
