I have some very basic shrimp tanks (sponge filter, mosses, LEDs, akadama/fluval shrimp stratum) and one of the tanks appears to have some hair algae. There's been a little bit on top of the sponge a while, but today I spotted it growing around one of my moss patches. I have other tanks under the same lights with the same feeding/maintenance but only have the hair algae in one. In fact, it's my most prolific tank in terms of breeding success.
The shrimp don't seem to mind, but wondered if it was a trouble for the other mosses if it takes hold?
