Health and safety using ferts

Hi

I have decided to start mixing my own ferts. I have purchased the starter kit from the website recommend on here.

Just wanted to know is there any safety pro cautions I need to follow apart from the obvious.

Hi John

No major precautions needed as long as you don't drink it .
On a serious note, the only one I'm aware of is, it is not recommended to inhale the KNO3, but I suppose that could be said for the majority of 'chemicals' in powder form.
Other than that, it's all pretty safe

Thank you for your advice. To be honest that was the only I could think of was the inhaling. I have only need to mix my second lot up to now but I did see some dust of the kn03 and felt a tickle on my throat. Maybe best to mix it outside in future
