Hi everyone.
Im Mark, I am 27 and live just outside Aberystwyth.
I have had fish tanks for the last 5 or 6 years and for 3 of those have also included reef tanks.
I have however just broken down my last marine tank (taking a break) and thought it would be a good time to do something that I have been wanting to do for a while, A "Larger Planted" Tank.
I currently have a 1' cube which is planted but have just purchased a 36x12x15 clearseal which i will be using.
Most of my equipment will either be secondhand, equipment I already own or in some case some that I may build.
So far the beg, borrow and steal list consists of the following.
Clearseal 36x12x15 Tank - BNIB With plastic strips removed (got a discount)
Arcadia luminaire - 4xT5 Laps but is a 4' light unit so will overhang slightly
Fluval External Filter - not sure what model as I have not yet picked it up
150w Heater - Already owned
Koralia nano - Maybe useful if I need more flow (Already owned)
I am in the process of trying to get a CO2 bottle and Reg cheap but at this point im not 100% if im going down this route or if I will just utilise something like easy carbo and go with a slightly lowertech setup.
