Hi all

I am currently setting up a planted tank still in the buying stage of bits.

Over the years I have had Marine & a cichlid tank but never a planted tank.

I look forward to asking alot of questions for advice :)

The tank I have brought is 72x24x32 open top with a 4ft sump.

Also would be nice to met other ppl from around my area.

Thank you

I had better put up some pics of my tank.
The tank was used for marine and I have removed most of the coral line now.

Hello Katfish, I'm not too far away either :) Another nice, big tank being planted up!! What you thinking of keeping in there stock-wise?

Hi Viv, thats a great size tank !! +1 to what sussex cichlids suggested with the vinegar. Actually, you can take that one stage further and soak some kitchen roll in the vinegar then place it on the glass and leave it to act on the coralline. It seems to loosen it off and make it easier to scrape :) (in my experience at least). Looking forward to seeing your tank as it fills with plants hehe. Thats a LOT of green matter to buy...
