Holiday for a week

Guys,

I'm going away for a week so I am leaving my hi-tech tank unattended...

Am i best to turn the lights off & co2 off - if I do this will my plants be ok for a week with just natural light? Algae won't appear will it?

Or should i do a blackout for 7 days?

I went away last year for a week and there wasn't anyone to dose. I did a massive water change before going, the took the lights down to 4 hours and kept the took the C02 down accordingly, so 2 hours before lights on and an hour before lights out. I dosed normally after the water change. You might be suprised how well a tank does without us messing about with it. Mine looked the best it had ever looked when i got back.

I found this useful when I went on holiday. Basically cut back on lighting, turn off CO2, dose once a week, feed once or twice a week.
