I'm trying to achieve a thick lawn with tennelus, does anyone know of the correct pruning / maintenance technique for this plant .
Thanks

Well I just planted mine and let it get on with it! Took a while to get going at first in Tetraplant Complete and using a lean EI dosing worked well to boost its growth. In my 12" cube it basically carpeted the whole of the substrate. After transplanting most of it into my new tank it's just sitting there at the moment, but I'm sure it'll take off soon.

James has a rather impressive expanse of tennellus in his giant tank and that's growing rapidly in Aquasoil.

I found mine had about a 3 week period before it put runners out. I depends what sort of plant you get. If you get a larger mother plant it can put runners out after a few days. The smaller shoots you tend to get take a while...
