Inbreading in snails

I put 3 assisn snails in my tank a year or so ago which breed very well (without bcoming a pest as long as I sell some every few months).
I know whelks are simple critters but at what stage is it worth adding some others to maintain a sensible level of gentetic diversity and avoid the problems of inbreeding?

smaller life forms are less susceptible to inbreeding problems. You will never have to worry about this being a problem for the health of your stock unless you are inbreeding for many many generations...ie like CRS.

What would constitue "many generations"?
