Just about to do a full re-plant and read somewhere on Tropica site that no need to add any additional ferts for first 2-3 weeks as the plants will use their existing supplies and less chance of algae when first setup.

Is this good advise ?

Yes - or no !! Depending on plant-material.
Potted (=pre-grown) plants will have stored energy, to invest in adaptation and beginning new growth.
T.C/invitro (very young, from laboratory) plants depend on the gel/liquid for energy. They have minimal stored energy, and will starve very soon after being removed from gel/liquid. These will need some full-spectre fertilisation (=micro- and macro-nutrients) from very start.

Allways look at "lowest acceptance", meaning you need to fertilise whatever plant needs to be firtilised, when it needs to be fertilised.
Because this is a new-set-up-tank, there will likely be low access to some nutrients. If you use any T.C. plants at all, you will need to fertilise as for T.C. plants. This will not harm potted plants, ofcourse.
If you use only potted plants, you can choose to wait some weeks before fertilising, since plants have their stored energy to invest. You can choose to fertilise from very start, too - in this case be even more carefull, you get your waterchanges done.
