Is a wooden board needed under 4 foot tank

Hi everyone.

I want everyone's opinion on this ongoing matter.

I read that all tanks force are placed on the rims of steel stands using 25mm square tubing. Also is it also advisable to only put polystyrene on the rims of the steel stand... The steel stand will have 3 braces on top and 8 v braces in the corners of steel frame. Does everyone else place wood on the steel stand first then polystyrene then the tank. Information on the tank 4 foot 6mm glass base 8mm with euro bracing on top als sides on top. So please give me feedback on this debatable question.

Is it needed to place wood board on steel stand.

Not needed , bit i sure as hell sleep better. Also i sometimes need to stand in my tank

Yours is more of a swimming pool than tank

I would say no need for wood, but for small expense I would use some also.

I would definitely put a piece of ply down first then some foam or polystyrene, this will help to spread the weight.
